July Style: Hot Weather Fashion

In the winter months we can wear whatever we want as long as it comes with lots of layers; in the summer it’s the opposite we need to shed the layers and even though we want to wear close to nothing we must keep one thing in mind… Summer can be one of the most stylish times of the year. Choosing what to wear can be an obstacle, especially with the kind of summer we have been having… hot, humid, yuck! The season also flies by so we want to be able to wear all of our stylin’ summer goods!

Keep these tips in mind when styling for hot weather:

1.    Wrap it up. Dresses in the summer are comfortable in general, but a wrap dress flatters your figure while keeping you cool.

2.    Tie it. Turn a bandana or light scarf into a cute headband by tying it at the base of your neck. Keeps the hair off your face & neck for a chic easy hair day.

3.    LWD. The little white dress is the little black dress of the summer. Wear one super casual during the day with flat sandals and dress it up at night with a great pair of wedges and colorful jewelry.

4.    Spice it up. Sick of wearing your usual blouse and skirt? If your office is business casual, add an unexpected touch to your typical office attire. Pair a deep-V back shirt with a pencil skirt and heels.

5.    Neon nights. Add a punchy neon twist to a nighttime look with neon accessories. It’ll enhance your tan leaving you looking glowing and confident.

6.    Cowboy up. For a cute and casual down home look pair a sundress with cowboy boots.

7.    Go USA! Break out the red, white and blue. This goes beyond the Fourth for a chic nautical look.

8.    Cover up to stay cool. Sunglasses are your eyes best friends; less squinting means less stress ladies! Find a fabulous hat and wear it! Hats will protect your scalp and face from burning as well as protect your hair color from the sun. Add in some loose fitting pants and long-sleeve tees. Not only will you look super chic but it will help to protect you skin from the sun.

9.    Natural fibers. Fabrics such as cotton, linen and silk are more breathable than other fabrics allowing you to stay comfortable and your skin to breathe.
