A lad from North Somewhere gets in trouble

... since we cannot agree on anything, we disagree on everything

Webster's Dictionary defines the word "prejudice" as Injury due to some
judgment: from the Latin "Praejudicum" (judgment). It is an action in
disregard of a person's rights. Synonyms: hurt, impair, bias

Causes can be ethnic such as race against race or races. Feelings
can result from dislikes for another person. Families can create
prejudices. The sense of superiority against another person, gender, and
family to say nothing of class versus class or country versus country.
This can cause wars. If peace cannot exist in families, how can nations
with internal factions observe the olive branch.

The sin of prejudice can be found in various religions and in the cliques of parishioners. For "whoever is without sin ... ".

Prejudice is rampant among political parties and, namely,
politicians. Is that why we vote Independent? Since we cannot agree on
anything, we disagree on everything. Maybe that is why some are
independents.

To cite an example: I was often involved in fights going to and from
school, mainly because I was not big and strong and you cannot reason
with bullies. Besides, there was the matter of ethnic background. Our
family was ultra conservative and from the north of a country I am not
mentioning. The rest of the kids and parents were from the south of the
country. Children can be so very mean to each other, as they try to find
a niche in the pecking order. The surprising aspect was that these kids
were good church goers but their parents encouraged their bad behavior.
Who was prejudiced against whom? We were a very Victorian family.

The basis of all prejudice is the attitude of superiority over
another or others. This enhances their ego, but their bias is slanted
the wrong way. We have examples of this in regard to feuds between two
families that have gone on for years. It makes a good plot for movies
and an excellent plot in the cemetery.
