Newton North coach Richard Barton remarked to Melrose coach Scott Celli that “too much offense” was the difference. The offensive accolades should be spread around but Melrose’s “Big Four” of Meri Lessing, Hannah Mulcahy, Marissa Cataldo, and Victoria Crovo threw the lion’s share of the punches at the Tigers. The match was Melrose’s first win over Newton North.
