Leila Migliorelli For City Council At-Large

Why I am enthusiastically supporting Leila Migliorelli's campaign

I write to share with my neighbors why I am enthusiastically supporting Leila Migliorelli's campaign for an at-large seat on the Melrose City Council.

It was immediately apparent to me that Leila is running for office so she can help make this wonderful community even better. Leila is not seeking a platform to grandstand or pontificate. Rather, she has an obvious and infectious passion for leading Melrose to a more prosperous, inclusive, and responsible future.

Importantly, Leila is not new to this conversation. Leila has been a member and a leader on the Melrose Human Rights Commission. Her efforts reveal a steadfast commitment to the principles of justice and inclusion. She excels in her role on the Human Rights Commission, however, because she is a thoughtful listener who demonstrates sound judgment.

Similarly, her involvement at the Winthrop School reflects more than just a devotion to her own children. Her actions reflect a commitment to the entire school community and making it a better learning environment for everyone.

Finally, the manner in which she's engaged with voters of all kinds during her broad, organized and inclusive campaign suggests the kind of leader she will be as a City Councillor. Leila has gone out of her way to solicit input and ideas from everyone in our community. She appreciates that people will not always agree, but everyone can expect their elected officials to care enough to understand fully their concerns.

I am excited for what she will do for our city and ask that you consider using one of your four at-large votes to elect Leila Migliorelli to the Melrose City Council.

Sincerely,
