Malden Roast Beef Sandwich Named Best Around

A Malden sandwich recently made Boston Magazine’s “Cheap Eats” list.

The roast beef sandwich at Steve’s Roast Beef, for $6.05, got the nod as the best roast beef sandwich around, along with the one at Nick’s Famous Roast Beef in North Beverly.

Here’s what the magazine said about Steve’s sandwich:

“With rare, tender beef that’s practically shredded, a slightly charred buttered onion roll, and evenly dispersed sauce, the Super Roast Beef … at this unassuming sub shop is the leader of the pack.”

The magazine picked 26 “Cheap Eats” in the Boston area ($15 or less). The list will run in the magazine’s February edition.
