Mayor Says Watch Out For Potholes!
Melting ice and snow dented up Lebanon Street and Franklin Street worse than any other roads in Melrose, according to the mayor.

As far as potholes in Melrose go, Lebanon Street to Hospital Square and Franklin Street are the worst sections of town, according to a recent blog post from Mayor Robert J. Dolan.
However, the melting snow and ice left behind from the as of now almost-record breaking winter should make this year’s “pothole season” especially bumpy across the entire region, including Melrose.

The Department of Public Works plans to reconstruct Lebanon and Franklin Street throughout 2015. The city encourages submissions for pothole repair requests, with the understanding that Melrose will devote its resources to main roads, neighborhood collector roads, and local neighborhood streets, in that order.

- Enter a request on the DPW Work Order Request System located on the City of Melrose website
- Download the Commonwealth Connect App and use See Click Fix to report potholes through your smart phone
- Call our Operations Facility at 781-665-0142. The office is open from Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
