MBTA Bus, SUV In Head-On Crash; 5 Injured: VIDEO
One woman is seriously injured after a crash on Essex Street in Saugus.
SAUGUS, MA — Five people were injured - one seriously - when an SUV crashed head-on with an MBTA bus on Essex Street Thursday afternoon.
The 37-year-old woman driving a Ford SUV went to the hospital with serious injuries. She was driving near 190 Essex Street when she possibly struck a parked vehicle, Transit Police said. She then veered into the wrong lane and crashed head-on into a Route 429 bus.
The four passengers aboard the bus went to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
