Melrose Active Shooter Drill At School Next Week
Residents may hear loud noises, bangs and see a lot of police in the area. But no worries, police said - it's just a drill.
MELROSE, MA — An active shooter training drill will take place next week inside the Horace Mann School. From Monday, Jun 17 to Thursday, June 20 police will train to prepare for "the unlikely yet extremely dangerous occurrence of an active shooter in the city," a press release said.
Residents may hear loud noises, bangs and see a lot of police in the area. Police are stressing to residents that there is no danger - it's only a drill.
The drills will take place between 8 a.m - 4 p.m. each day.
