Melrose at the Boston Marathon Finish Line: Town Runner Results

Results from Melrose runners are beginning to come in.

MELROSE, MA — Whether you're in the elite group, or crossing at a slow clip near the end of the day, it's a huge accomplishment to complete the Boston Marathon.

On Monday, April 18, 30,000 runners took off from the Hopkinton start line on the 26.2 mile course to Boston. Roger Donaghy finished with Melrose's fastest time, clocking in at 2:43:11.

Interestingly enough, Donaghy finished just over 30 minutes behind the men's winner, Ethiopia's Lemi Berhanu Hayle, who clocked in at 2:12:45.
