Melrose Coffee and Cops (and Bagels!)

MELROSE - The Melrose Police Department will host a Coffee with a Cop event next week as part of its April community meeting initiative.

The get-together will be held April 26, from 5-7 p.m. at Bruegger’s Bagels on Main St.

The point of the Coffee with a Cop event is for members of the community to speak with members of the department on pretty much anything. The series is not exclusive to Melrose, but is being used as part of the monthly interaction between police and residents.

“Every month, our goal is to provide the community with an opportunity to learn more about a topic or issue affecting this city,” Police Chief Michael Lyle said. “In April, we wanted to give residents the opportunity to pick the topic and ask questions, share concerns, or simply have a friendly conversation with the members of the Melrose Police Department.”
