Melrose Cooperative Bank funds new Melrose National Little League sign

Melrose, MA - June 16, 2014 - Melrose Cooperative Bank recently partnered with Huntress Insurance to fund the new sign at Conant Field in Melrose, the official home of the Melrose National Little League. The old sign was in need of replacement, and as long-time supporters of Melrose baseball, both parties were compelled to step up to the plate.

“Melrose Little League baseball is a fond past-time for many community members, and we are grateful that the tradition is being passed along to the next generations. We hope that more children each year will play and grow to love the game. With the continued support of local businesses in defraying the cost for families, the future of this organization will be bright,” said Steve Tarpey, President of the Melrose National Little League.

Melrose National Little League provides children with opportunities to join leagues where athleticism, sportsmanship and team-building skills are practiced. The program accommodates a wide range of ages and skill levels. Conant Field is utilized by Major, Minor and Federal teams during the ball season.
