Melrose Gas Station Robbed at Gunpoint

A masked man with a handgun robbed the Shell gas station at 860 Main St. in Melrose at about 10:45 p.m. Saturday, according to police.

The man punched the gas station employee in the face, demanded money and fled with an undetermined amount of cash, police said.

The suspect was described as a 6-foot-4 male, wearing a black jacket, black pants and a black mask.
