Melrose High Football to Open Playoffs at Home
The quarterfinal game is on Halloween night against a familiar foe.
The Melrose High football team will open the playoffs at home on Halloween night.
Melrose (5-2), the No. 3 seed in the Northwest Division 3 bracket, will host No. 6 Wakefield (4-3) at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, in the bracket’s quarterfinals.
Melrose defeated Wakefield 17-15 at home on Sept. 26.

The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) released its football playoff brackets Sunday.
The winner will face the winner of No. 2 Woburn and No. 7 Winchester in the bracket’s semifinals.
