MELROSE, MA — Gerry's Pizza & Restaurant, the Main Street spot that reopened under new management in January, appears to have closed.
The building was empty and dark Thursday afternoon during open hours, with mail piling up out in front. A phone call to the number on the website said the number was disconnected.
A post on Gerry's Facebook page in March says "due to unexpected circumstances we will be closed for a short period time." That was March 31.

Gerry's opened Jan. 20 under new management. Gerry's gave out free pizza that day. For what it was worth, the food was OK, but there never appeared to be much action in the restaurant over the past few months.
