Melrose Police And Fire Departments Without Power
Police say 911 should still be used in the event of an emergency but residents should call a different number for the business line.
MELROSE, MA – The Melrose police and fire departments are without power due to the storm, according to a press release. The normal business line for the Melrose Police Department is not working, so residents with non-emergencies should call this number: 781-662-3852.
This is a temporary business number that may be used until power is restored. In the event of an emergency, residents should still call 911.
According to MEMA, 1,438 customers – 11 percent of those served in the city – are without power Thursday morning.
