Melrose Police Logs: Jehovah's Witnesses|Overdose|So Much Yelling

MELROSE, MA — The Melrose Police log offers a peek into some of the (allegedly) crime-y parts of the city. It's important to remember that an arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Dec. 4

1:19 a.m. - Caller on Mt. Vernon Street says woman in second floor apartment has been yelling for an hour. This is the fourth time the police have been called for a disturbance here. All unfounded.

7:58 a.m. - Hit and run reported around 250 Melrose St.

10:12 a.m. - Warning sticker for someone parked at Melrose High all day.

Tuesday, Dec. 5

9:34 a.m. - Needle reported on Hurd Street.

2:51 p.m. - Son found mother unconscious on Pearl Street. Possible sudden death.

3:48 p.m. - Caller reports medicare scam attempt 616-227-4260

10:51 p.m. - Report of ding-dong ditch on Lebanon St.

Wednesday, Dec. 6

12:43 p.m. - Branch down on wires on Boardman Ave. Wires sparking, smoking.

Thursday, Dec. 7

12:27 a.m. - Pleasant Street resident reports a loud party. Police have the music turned down for the night.

7:21 a.m. - Motor vehicle damages Micheli Properties building on Green St.

4:35 p.m. - MBTA bus blocked due to illegally parked cars on Linwood at Summer St. One car was moved, one was tagged.

Friday, Dec. 8

11:41 a.m. - "Juvenile issues" at Melrose Middle School.

1:24 p.m. - Thomas Mcintyre Jr., 43, turns himself in at police station. He has two active warrants, one out of Malden District Court and the other out of Somerville District Court.

3:33 p.m. - Resident says an unknown person in his driveway on Fellsway. When confronted, the person ran down the Fellsway.

Saturday, Dec. 9

10:44 a.m. - Caller on Spear Street reports knocking on her door and nobody there. Police confirmed it was the work of Jehovah's Witnesses.

12:08 p.m. - A caller got into the wrong car and left wallet on the seat. The vehicle then took off.

3:14 p.m. - Report of injured goose on Main at Sylvan.

Sunday, Dec. 10

12:03 a.m. - Caller on Spear Street reports she wanted son's girlfriend out of the house.

12:07 p.m. - Woman says she found a needle at Mexico Lindo area.

2:41 p.m. - Someone concerned about a leaning pole on Holland Road.

5:36 p.m. - Landlord reports two people fighting in an apartment on Main Street. Police respond to overdose, Narcan deployed.

6:38 p.m. - Dog barking on Cherry Street for more than an hour.
