Melrose Police Log: 1 Arrest, Traffic Summons

MELROSE, MA — The following are excerpts from last week's Melrose Police log:

Monday, March 4

1:52 p.m. - DPW reports a plow broke a window on Essex Street.

9:30 p.m. - A motor vehicle stop on West Wyoming at Hurd resulted in a summons being issued for a 20-year-old Revere man on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a revoked registration. His car was towed.

Tuesday, March 5

9:18 a.m. - A motor vehicle crash on Franklin street resulted in one of the drivers, a 23-year-old Stoneham man, being issued a summons on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and uninsured motor vehicle.

2:20 p.m. - Reports of teens smoking marijuana in the train depot at Berwick and West Wyoming.

Wednesday, March 6

10:41 a.m.- Police make a warrant arrest on Cottage Street, taking a 58-year-old Melrose man into custody.

11:01 p.m. - Removed turkey from northbound lane of Lebanon St.

Friday, March 8

5:44 p.m. - Someone was ice fishing on Ell Pond.

11:48 p.m. - Report of group of kids throwing eggs at someone's vehicle on Island Hill Ave.

Saturday, March 9

9:27 a.m. - Walk-in report of a hit and run in Shaw's parking lot.

Sunday, March 10

1:41 a.m. - A motor vehicle stop on Main Street at West Foster resulted in a 48-year-old Melrose woman being summonsed on a charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration.

11:23 p.m. - Several reports of a missing manhole cover on Franklin and Ashland.
