Melrose Police Log: 2 Arrests Last Week

MELROSE, MA — The following are excerpts from last week's Melrose Police log. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Jan. 14

6:18 p.m. - Caller reports what she believed to be bullet holes in living room window of Tappan Street apartment.

Friday, Jan. 18

11:17 p.m. - Police reported to a West Emerson apartment for a disturbance. Police said a 23-year-old Woburn man was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, domestic assault or assault and battery, and malicious destruction of property of less than $1,200. The call was logged as a drug overdose.

Saturday, Jan. 19

1:19 p.m. - A possibly intoxicated 32-year-old Boston person was brought from a Main St. nail salon to protective custody.

Sunday, Jan. 20

4:08 a.m. - A 44-year-old Melrose man was arrested on charges of domestic assault or assault and battery and strangulation.

9:58 p.m. - An 18-year-old Melrose man was issued a summons on charges of threatening to commit crime, breaking and entering a building nighttime for a felony, and possessing more than 1 ounce of marijuana while being under 21 (subsequent offense,) and possessing liquor while being under 21.
