Melrose Public Schools Launch App

Want to submit anonymous tips or know what's for lunch at your kid's school? Download the free MPS Connect app.

A new smartphone app is giving parents, students, teachers, and staff a new connection to Melrose Public Schools.

Superintendent Cyndy Taymore announced the launch of MPS Connect, available for iPhones and Androids, which serve to give a channel for anonymous tips regarding anything from mental health and graffiti.

“Our goal with this app was to provide a safe space for the Melrose community to anonymously notify school staff about a concerning situation or issue occurring in the district,” Taymore said. “We hope that by providing students, parents and staff with an outlet to voice concerns we will be able to more proactively address an incident in its infancy.”

Download the app and go to the “Anon. Tip” icon to submit a tip. It doesn't need to be anonymous, but the option is there. You can also view school information, including lunch menus, and get to pages that can help find information on homework and download materials.

The app is free to download.
