Melrose Ranked 2nd in Preseason Football Power Ratings
The Boston Globe has published their annual preseason MIAA football power ratings.

The Melrose High School football team received a second-place ranking among their Division 3NW foes for the 2015-2016 season, according to preseason MIAA power ratings published by The Boston Globe.
After finishing the 2014 season with a 10-3 record, the Red Raiders were give a rating of 22.85, which is based on formulas created by the MIAA football committee.
Concord-Carlisle is ranked atop the division with a 25.10 rating after finishing the 2014 with a 9-1 record. Woburn checked in at the third spot with a rating of 21.27. They posted a 9-2 record last year.

Melrose is ranked 17th in the state heading into the new season, according to MaxPreps.com.
The Red Raiders open the upcoming season on August 29 at home against Marblehead.
