Melrose Residents: Do You Even Bench, Bro?

MELROSE, MA—The Melrose YMCA is offering an opportunity for you to test your strength against other lifters for prizes.

The YMCA is holding a Bench Press Banquet on Mar. 12. The $30 participation fee includes a warm up, three attempts to lift your one-rep maximum as well as food and drink for your recovery.

Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female lifters. Proceeds go to the YMCA’s Annual Campaign. According to the event flyer, the campaign ensures that everyone gets the opportunity to lift regardless of their ability to pay.
