Melrose School Vacation Days to Know This Winter

The kids probably can't wait, but you sure can. Here's some important school dates to know about going forward this winter.

Before Christmas Break, there's an early release two hours early on Wednesday, Dec. 14 for all students.

Christmas vacation starts with an early release Friday, Dec. 23, at noon. Obviously, the weekend of Christmas Eve and Christmas is also off, as is the following week.

New Year's Day is the following Sunday, so it is being observed on Monday, Jan. 2. Students return to school Tuesday, Jan. 3.

All in all, the students will be off starting with their early release on Dec. 23 and will return to school Jan. 3.

On Wednesday, Jan. 11, there will be another two-hour early release.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day will have students off on Monday, Jan. 16, followed by a professional development day (meaning no school for students) on Tuesday, Jan. 17.

There will be another two-hour early release on Wednesday, Feb. 8.

There is a noon release for students on Friday, Feb. 17, leading into a full week of Winter Break.

Students are off:

• Dec. 23 (Early release) - Jan. 2
• Jan. 16-17
• Feb. 17 (Early release) - Feb. 26
