Melrose Teachers Receive State-Wide Recognition
The Melrose High School teachers were recognized through the Mass Insight Education's AP STEM and English program.

MELROSE, MA—Nine Melrose High School teachers were honored at the Partners in Excellence Celebration on April 5 at the Seaport Hotel in Boston.
The event honored high-performing AP Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and English teachers through the Mass Insight Education's AP STEM and English Program, according to an announcement from Melrose Public Schools.
"We were so pleased to have a number of our MHS faculty recognized for providing rigorous academic opportunities to our students through our STEM and English courses," Melrose High School Principal Marianne Farrell said in the announcement. "MHS is committed to increasing student achievement to ensure success following graduation."
The eight teachers honored by Mass Insight Education are as follows:
- Biology teacher Kerri Scott
- Calculus teacher Laurie Greenwood
- Chemistry teacher Brittney Martin
- English Literature and Composition teacher Tanja Hiti-Stearns
- English Literature and Composition teacher Heather MacDonald
- Environmental Science teacher Nancy Naslas
- Environmental Science teacher Suzanne Troy
- Statistics teacher Christina Cardella
- Calculus Teacher Annalisa Peterson
