Melrose Wins with Migliorelli’s Real World Experience
A Councilor-At-Large candidate That Can Deliver

There’s a saying that “experience is the mother of wisdom.” That’s why I believe Leila Migliorelli’s professional experience makes her the most uniquely qualified candidate for City Councilor-At-Large.
Leila has dealt with the pressure of handling complex financial matters at a major academic institution every day for the last 14 years. In her role at Tufts, she is responsible for ensuring that the millions of dollars donated to the University are spent appropriately. Not only must she facilitate the money, but she must be meticulous in tracking it, and transparent in her reporting. Donors ask that their money be well-spent, and Leila believes that Melrose residents deserve the same. A great City Councilor will work to ensure that the budget is being managed properly and convey the Council’s actions to the taxpayers. To Leila, accountability isn’t a nicety, it’s her livelihood.
This is especially true in the wake of the recent tax override. While it was a much-needed infusion into our schools, we owe it to our all our residents to make sure that the money we’ve entrusted the government to handle on our behalf is getting to where it needs to go. That’s why I want someone like Leila who understands the delicate nature of this work to lead the way for our city.

Additionally, Leila has worked in the nonprofit world, helping women entrepreneurs on their path to starting new businesses. Having someone who understands the challenges these small business owners face will be an asset for our community. Identifying the barriers to entry, how to remove them, and how to help our downtown thrive from an infusion of culture driven by strong enterprise is essential. Leila will be the leader to help make that happen.
In a world where so many claim expertise, very few can actually deliver on that promise. Leila has a strong resume and a proven track record of accomplishments. Theory is important, but those with the know-how and ability are paramount to our future success. That’s why I’m proud to stand with Leila Migliorelli for City Councilor-At-Large.
