Middlesex County Girl Third Child To Die From Flu: DPH
Health officials announced the death Tuesday.
A third child in Massachusetts has died from the flu, health officials said Tuesday. The Department of Public Health said the a girl from Middlesex County has died from flu-related illness.
She is the second girl from Middlesex County to die from the flu this season. A 12-year-old boy from Milford also died from it.
There was only one flu-related death in Massachusetts last year.

More than 9,000 cases of the flu have been confirmed across Massachusetts this season, the state said.
