New Melrose Resident Supports Jack Eccles for City Councilor
Here's why a resident who is new in town is supporting Jack Eccles for Melrose City Councilor at Large.

My fiancée and I moved into our new apartment a few months ago. We really loved the small-
town atmosphere and town pride, along with the close proximity to the T. Shortly after we moved in, I received a message from a young gentleman who knew people I worked with in the past, asking if I would meet him. I agreed to sit down with Jack Eccles and I got a chance to talk with him about all things Melrose - the things that make it such a great place to live, as well as those things that could be changed to make it even better.
Jack’s enthusiasm is infectious. I have seen that look in someone’s eye before. When they talk
about their pride for the place where they grew up and their love for an area, mixed with the energy and determination to improve it even further. I recognize that look because I had it when I ran for school board in Harrisburg, PA in 2011.
I am sure Jack has heard all the same things that I did when I ran. You are too young. What do
you know? How old are you, kid? After serving on the board for two years, I know it was my new ways of thinking and different perspective that brought out great ideas in others. We keep asking our youth to be involved in our communities. We have a chance to show we mean it in this year’s election.
