Police Investigating After Gunshots Ring Out In Saugus
Police were searching for a suspect vehicle after finding shell casings on Main Street.
SAUGUS, MA — Police are investigating after gunshots were fired near Saugus High School just behind Route 1.
Officers responded early Tuesday evening to a report of shots fired near 137 Main St. They found shell casings in the road, but no one was injured.
Police said the shots came from someone in a blue Chevy sedan. The suspect fired several shots out of the rear passenger side window. The vehicle, carrying three people, then fled, police said.

Authorities including State Police could not locate the vehicle. Saugus Police are investigating.
The high school is a short distance from where the shell casings were found.
