Spring is really here..
April 3rd we drove to Brockton to visit the Fuller Craft Museum.
The museum opened in 1969 as the only craft museum in the New England Area.

The pieces on display are in the field of contemporary craft using one of a kind works of art in a variety of medians;such as glass, metal,wood, ceramics and fiber.
Two of the outside sculptures ...one made of wood and metal pieces, and the other with metal pieces put together with nuts and bolts.

Inside the Museum were beautiful pieces constructed with a variety of unusual every day items.
There were many beautiful pieces throughout the museum, and we enjoyed walking around to see them all.
Our lunch was at Tommy Doyle's in Easton. A new restaurant for us but very enjoyable with a great waitress who is celebrating her birthday next week.
Always good for us when we find a new place to visit. Just got to keep moving.
On April 4th. we cut back on our regular purple shirts to celebrate The Red Sox Home Game at the Melrose Senior Center; and what a game.
From the first inning on the Red Sox were leading; but the Cardinals came close all along the way .
Not only was the game exciting but it was a real baseball feast.
Starting with Hot dogs and chips just before First Pitch..
Inning three, Red Sox still ahead and out came the cracker jacks..
sixth inning and yup pretzels with or without mustard..
Ninth inning was a nail biter so we were served Hoodies, plain, with choc sauce or with m&ms and nuts.
The Red Sox pulled out the game winning 13 to 9. What a grand opening day.
There was water, and soda and the smiles of everyone there.
Erica Brown, and her volunteers Anthony Gentile and Elizabeth Downs kept us in the opening day
mood as they performed as good as the Sox did. Great performance by all.
This was a month of April showers, ( and even snow) so we had to curtail a few other outing; but do not despair we will be back next month.
Sun shinny days coming up so keep you eye on the Patch as we plan our more good weather outings.
