Security Cameras Catch Man Stealing Bicycle (Video)
Melrose police hope someone can ID the man who pedaled off with a mountain bike that wasn't his July 8.
Melrose police are looking for help from the public in identifying and apprehending a man caught on security video stealing a bicycle July 8.
A Trek Marlin 5 bicycle was taken from the front of Promax Supply, 142 Franklin St., at about 6 p.m., according to a Melrose police report. Security video shows the suspect walking in front of the building and flicking a cigarette before pedaling off with the bike.

The suspect matches the following description:
- heavyset white man in his 40s
- light brown hair with a small bald patch on the back of his head
The man was wearing a ripped green Boston Celtics shirt (possibly with white paint or plaster stains) and faded jeans with a rip near the right front pocket.
