Senator Clark Meets with Community Leaders and State Officials

Group discusses economic development in Malden and surrounding communities

Senator Katherine Clark met with Housing and Economic Development Secretary Greg Bialecki, municipal leaders from communities north of Boston, and other officials to discuss opportunities for collaboration and regional economic development in the cities of Malden, Somerville, Medford, Everett, Revere, Winthrop, Chelsea, and the Boston neighborhoods of Charlestown and East Boston.  The meeting was part of an on-going initiative focused on identifying regions for economic growth and sustainable development, examining zoning and permitting needs, investing in transportation and other critical infrastructure, and working together to brand and market the region.
