Soccer Merger Equals More Opportunities in Town
Aztec Soccer and Boston Azzurri Announce Merger

Aztec Soccer and Boston Azzurri have announced a merger that will benefit local soccer players. The merger will provide top level training and teams, locally, just North of Boston. Training and game facilities will be located in Danvers, Lynn, Malden, Melrose, Reading, Saugus, Stoneham and Winthrop. Academies Teams will be open year round to players of all abilities ages 2-22 years.
“Aztec soccer has been the pinnacle of elite soccer on the Northshore for decades and merging F.C. Boston Azzurri with the Aztec organization is an amazing opportunity for us to grow our vision of player development, first and in an environment that affords our players the best possible soccer experience available, locally,” McLellan added.
The inaugural fall season will see the launch of a Jr Academy for players 7-14 years old. This Academy is designed to be elite, accelerate, flexible and affordable. Players will train and play in an environment like no other. Technical training sessions will be provided after school and in the evening at most locations, with players being offered multiple options for attending. Sessions will utilize Soccer, Futsal and Futbolito tactics and games to develop intelligent, creative players. Functional training session will be added, as players technical skills progress. Seasons will begin with training sessions and gradually move toward scrimmages, tournaments and a year end Jamboree for all players for a better ratio of training to games.
