Stoneham Police Seeking to Identify Suspects in Gas Station Break-In

Two men broke into the Mobil gas station on South St. at 2 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 21.

Police Chief James McIntyre and the Stoneham Police Department (SPD) are seeking to identify two men seen in video surveillance footage breaking into and stealing items from the Mobil gas station located at 2 South St. in Stoneham.

Police responded shortly after 2 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 21 for a report of an activated commercial burglar alarm from the gas station. Police arrived minutes later and observed the side door of the business had been pried open. Police entered the building and saw numerous items scattered on the floor. Also, an interior office door had been forced open.

“We hope that someone knows who these two individuals are and can help us bring them to justice,” Chief McIntyre said. “Please come forward if you know something. Your calls may remain anonymous.”

Police do not believe this break-in is connected to Friday’s armed robbery of a different Mobil station, on Montvale Ave.
