The Best Ethnic Restaurants In Melrose

For this week's Patch Picks, we asked you where to get a taste of international flavors in the city and nearby. Here's what you told us.

Mangia! Bon appétit! Mahlzeit!

Whatever the language, we know when it's time to eat. So for this week's Patch Picks, : What are your favorite ethnic restaurants in Melrose (or nearby)? Here are your picks:

  • , 454 Franklin St./Spice of Melrose, 530 Main St.: A bunch of recommendations for this Franklin Street takeout spot, which just opened up a sister table service restaurant on Main Street. Charles said, "As the only Thai delivery in our area (at least that I know of), they start with an advantage, but they back it up with delicious food. Pad Thai Gai Grob - you won't regret it! Looking forward to trying their new place on Main Street." Lisa added, "I could order from there every day!"
  • , 449 Main St.: This tried and true staple of downtown Melrose also received a bunch of recommendations. Tim tweeted, "Mexico Lindo is the best Mexican joint on the North Shore!" Charles said it's his favorite restaurant in Melrose, ethnic or otherwise: "Their salsa is fabulous, the staff and atmosphere are friendly and welcoming, the food is tasty with some hidden gems tucked in among the usual combo plate fare, which itself is delicious. And it's all reasonably priced, especially when you see the size of the plates you get."
  • Sushi Corner, 18c Essex St.: Don't overlook this tucked away Melrose restaurant in Moynihan Plaza that Kimberly recommended, which not only serves up inventive sushi, but noodles, soups, teriyaki, tempura and more.
  • , 19 Franklin St., Stoneham: Multiple recommendations for this Stoneham restaurant, which serves Japanese, Thai, and Korean dishes.
  • , 6 Central Sq., Stoneham: Without an Indian restaurant in Melrose, several readers voted for this Stoneham restaurant as the best nearby Indian place.
  • , 499 Main St., Stoneham: Got a couple of recommendations for this Stoneham restaurant. Charles recommended the Basil Fried Rice, extra spicy, (which you can also get at U-Me).
