With rampant corruption, waste, and fraud in our welfare and HHS services department, with wanton fraud in our public retirement and disability system, with rising state unemployment, with our healthcare exchange not functioning properly to the extent that the Massachusetts health exchange has only met 5% of its target by the end of December, the lowest of all 50 states, our Governor is planning to focus his attention and to spend 50 million dollars on global warming initiatives. He wants to hire a climatologist and fund all sorts of “green projects” to address the potential impact that global warming may have on state infrastructure and shorelines.
Sounds to me that our Governor is doing exactly as Roman emperor Nero did nearly 2,000 years ago.
