For wrestling fans, “shoot” interviews - where pro wrestlers break character and discuss their unique careers and lives from a “real” world perspective - can be just as entertaining as an episode of Monday Night Raw. Well, usually more entertaining if the notoriously outspoken likes of the Iron Sheik or New Jack are involved.

Certified WWE legend and star of the 1980s Tony Atlas will conduct just such a “shoot” interview live at Millennium Wrestling Federation (MWF) Studios on 360 Main St., Melrose, for a DVD shoot on Sunday, Feb. 22, at 4 p.m. The indie wrestling promotion set up an Indiegogo campaign to cover its filming and travel expenses, and so fans can pre-order tickets, autographed pictures, and meet-and-greet opportunities with Atlas if it is their wont to do so.

Bear in mind that pro wrestling locker rooms of the ’80s weren’t always wholesome, family friendly environments, so the subject matter of Atlas’s talk may get a bit NSFW. While all-ages are welcome, the event is recommended to those 16 years old and above. More info available here.
