Zero Waste Melrose announces winter-spring 2026 events
Local organization offers a regular schedule of events to reduce waste

Zero Waste Melrose will offer up to 9 events from February through June, 2026 to help residents cut back on waste.
The schedule includes 3 swap events. Zero Waste Melrose's popular swaps are free community reuse events that facilitate exchanging items in good condition rather than buying new items. The next two swap events focus on a specific theme: The Galentine's Swap for Women's Jewelry & Accessories on February 10 followed by the Arts & Crafts Supplies Swap on March 14. The group also plans to offer the "big" Swap Day event again in June once a final date is determined.
On May 2, Zero Waste Melrose will once again be at the Recycling and Sustainability Day organized by Rep. Kate Lipper-Garabedian and the City of Melrose. At this popular event, ZWM will run the polystyrene recycling station as well as accept Terracycle items for recycling. Stay tuned for details.
