• Southwick's Zoo beloved white tiger, Taj, has died (telegram.com) — Mendon’s Southwick’s Zoo is mourning Taj, its beloved 18½-year-old white Bengal tiger, who was humanely euthanized Sunday after declining health and severe arthritis. Born at the Mendon zoo and a longtime guest favorite, Taj’s passing leaves her sister Kya as the zoo’s only remaining tiger, and staff are thanking the community for its support.
