4 Now Vying For Milford School Committee Seats: Election 2022
The Milford School Committee race is quickly becoming the most crowded contest of 2022.

MILFORD, MA — Similar to the past two Milford spring elections, the Milford School Committee race is attracting a high number of candidates.
As of Wednesday, four people — including two serving members — had pulled papers to run for two seats up for election in 2022. However, none of those four candidates have returned papers yet in order to officially make the ballot.
School Committee members John Erickson and RJ Sheedy have both picked up papers. Sheedy was selected in August to serve out the remaining term of James Ligor. Although Sheedy is on the committee right now, he will not be noted on the ballot as an incumbent.

The other two candidates who have pulled papers are Robyn Bratica, a professor at William James College and a former Milford Public Schools psychologist, and Town Meeting member Derrick Sobers.
There are 17 seats up for election in Milford in 2022, plus Town Meeting seats. The last day to pick up nomination papers is Feb. 11, and the last day to return them to the Town Clerk is Feb. 15.
