MILFORD, MA — Three Milford High School seniors were recognized by the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association as representatives of the school community during a ceremony at Faneuil Hall, Milford Public Schools said Tuesday.
Bella LoScerbo, Katelyn Kearnan and Avalina DiGiallonardo attended the event in honor of National Girls and Women in Sports Day, according to the district. Milford Public Schools described the seniors in a social media post as “three great representatives of our school community” and praised them as competitors, leaders and students.
LoScerbo plays soccer and softball for Milford High. Kearnan competes in soccer, basketball and softball. DiGiallonardo plays field hockey and lacrosse.
A Milford Public Schools director said the three seniors have stood out not only as athletes, but also as leaders at school and strong students academically.
The annual Girls and Women in Sports Day celebration recognizes opportunities for girls and women in athletics across Massachusetts and beyond, according to the MIAA. The statewide organization said this year’s event was held at Faneuil Hall in Boston on March 6, 2026.
DiGiallonardo has also been recognized elsewhere this school year. She received the Lions Club District 33A 21st Century Young Ambassador Award in February. She was chosen from the 49 Central Massachusetts Lions Clubs that make up the district.
