MILFORD, MA — Milford Town Hall could get new accessibility improvements under a local budget amendment adopted by the state Senate.
The Senate adopted a budget amendment from Sen. Becca Rausch (D-Norfolk, Worcester, Middlesex) that would send at least $25,000 to Milford for accessibility improvements at Town Hall, according to the amendment text and Senate budget records.
" I secured $25,000 for improvements at Milford Town Hall, helping the town stay ADA compliant and accessible to all its residents," Sen. Rausch said in an announcement on Wednesday.
Sen. Rausch said the project money comes in addition to $4,043,551 in general funds and $55,270,258 in school funds for Milford in the FY27 Senate budget.
The amendment, listed as Amendment 1052, adds the Milford Town Hall money to budget item 7008-1116. Senate records list the amendment as adopted.
The funding is not final yet. The Legislature’s budget page says the Senate budget moves to a conference committee after Senate approval, and the FY27 final budget was not yet available as of Wednesday, June 3. The governor can approve, veto or reduce budget items after lawmakers send a final spending plan to her desk, according to the Legislature.
