Annual Parade Planned for Veterans Day
The Milford Veterans Day parade will take place on Nov. 11.

Town officials have announced that the annual Milford Veterans Day parade will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 11.
The assembly of divisions will take place at 9:30 a.m. in the Stop & Shop parking lot, with step-off commencing at 10 a.m.
The parade will be led by Grand Marshall Commander Richard McGrath Jr. of the United States Navy.

McGrath has served on active guard for the Navy for the past 24 years. He graduated from Milford High School in 1986 as the class valedictorian and holds a Bachelors of Science degree from MIT, Master of Science degree from Stamford University, and a Master of Arts degress from the Naval War College.
The parade route will go up East Main Street to Calzone Park where a brief ceremony will take place. It will then continue up Main Street to Draper Memorial Park before dispersing.

Parade participants include Disabled American Veterans, American Legion and Auxiliary, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Italian American War Veterans, Montgomery Lodge of Masons, local town officials, state legislator, public safety officials, Boys and Girls Scouts of Milford, Milford High Shcool Band, Stacy Middle School Band, and the Nipmuc Regional High School band.
