BACK BAY RINGERS - An Evening of Handbell History and Carols

Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at the Milford Town Library, 80 Spruce Street Milford.

A quartet of musicians from the Back Bay Ringers, Boston’s leading community-based handbell ensemble, will present an evening of handbell history and festive carols.  The four musicians will discuss the history of handbells in the Boston area, and will demonstrate the art and technique of handbell ringing by performing holiday selections, including traditional carols, such as “Silent Night” and “O Little Town of Bethlehem,” and holiday classics like “White Christmas.”

Back Bay Ringers (BBR) is an advanced, auditioned community handbell ensemble.  Under the direction of Griff Gall, BBR has a reputation for musical excellence, regularly performing at Boston- area landmarks such as Faneuil Hall, Symphony Hall, and the Prudential Center.  BBR has also performed at events associated with the Boston Marathon Remembrance and as part of the Mayor’s Holiday Spectacular.
