Milford public safety officials have asked people to stay off the road during and after the storm, expected to arrive late Saturday night into Sunday. The following organizations and businesses, as of Saturday, had announced either postponements or closures: <ul> <li> in Milford posted a sign on its door: closed Sunday due to the hurricane.</li> <li>has moved its 2011 Radiothon and the Milford Regional Golf Classic to Wednesday, Aug. 31. The event will be held at the Franklin Country Club.</li> <li>All branches of the Hockomock Area YMCA in Franklin will be closed Sunday. A note on its website reads: "Please know that we are heeding the warning of Gov. Deval Patrick, who asked that drivers stay off the road Saturday night through the end of the storm." </li> </ul>
