Children's Orchard Milford Closing in March
The store announced the closure on Tuesday.
MILFORD, MA- After 20 years in the community, the Children's Orchard Milford store will close its doors in March.
Children's Orchard is a resale franchise store that pays cash for children's clothing, toys, footwear and baby gear. Store owner Gayle Gonthier Bell said the official closing date depends on how long supplies last since the store is still actively buying items, but she is looking to close by March 31.
Bell said the she is retiring but has been honored to serve the community for the past two decades. "We pride ourselves on getting to know our customers," Bell said. Customers have been voicing their sadness both in-store and online, with the Facebook announcement of the closure gaining 93 comments.

"I've had customer's come up to me as say 'Oh no, I was just in here yesterday," Bell said. She added that the store has made it a point to give back to the community by partnering with The Daily Food pantry and UMASS Medical Pediatric Unit by running sales where profits benefit those in need.
Bell said she's sad to see the store close, but the contract for the store was up and it was time for her to retire. "It's been really heartwarming and bittersweet," she said, adding that she will not only miss the consistent customers but "the great longterm employees."
