Coronavirus: Milford Medical Center Closed To Most Visitors
Milford Regional Medical Center has enacted new policies to keep COVID-19 out of the hospital.
MILFORD, MA — Milford Regional Medical Center enacted a number of new policies this week aimed at slowing the spread of the new coronavirus, COVID-19. All visitors and patients will undergo a COVID-19 screening upon arrival, and the hospital's main entrance will close.
Visitors to the hospital will be limited to only birthing partners in the maternity ward, one parent or guardian of a child in the hospital, and, with permission of the nursing supervisor, visitors of someone who is dead or dying.
All visitors and patients must enter through the Hyman Hill Diagnostic Center side of the hospital along Prospect Street. The hospital has also canceled elective surgeries, routine screenings, and all outpatient services effective March 18.
