For the Best in Coffee, it's Honey Dew

Milford residents have spoken about their , and it's Honey Dew Donuts.

Honey Dew has two locations in Milford, and on The business captured 84 votes in the Readers' Choice Best of Patch poll, or 54 percent of the votes cast.

grabbed 37 votes, for 23 percent, while collected 15 votes, for 9 percent of the total.

None of the businesses had reviews on the Milford Patch Directory, so the winner this week was awarded to Honey Dew based on the poll votes alone.

The owner of Honey Dew's two locations in Milford could not be reached Friday. Anthony Gergos, manager of the South Main Street location, said he was happy to learn the business had won for best coffee in Milford.

"That's awesome," he said. Honey Dew's coffee is a house blend.

"It's really fresh," Gergos said. "We brew a pot every 30 minutes. The customers are getting their money's worth. It's not expensive."

In the mornings, hot coffee is the big seller. Now that the weather's warming, iced coffee sales are picking up, he said.
