Franklin Resident Promoted at Liberty Bay Credit Union

Liberty Bay Credit Union, one of the most established credit unions in New England, has promoted Peter Dennis to Executive Vice President of Affinity Banking. Dennis previously served as Senior Vice President of Business Development, Marketing and Retail Services

Dennis will oversee Affinity Banking, an innovative new program aimed to drive aggressive growth, catering to larger organizations and businesses. President Lyndon Matteson said, “ Peter Dennis’ vast sales experience sets up extremely well as he leads the implementation and development our new Liberty Blue Affinity Program.”

Dennis will also continue to oversee Corporate Communications and Marketing. Dennis initially joined Liberty Bay as a consultant prior to joining the management team in 2015. “Peter began his tenure with Liberty Bay doing sales training. It took about three weeks for us to figure out his tremendous executive potential,” said Chief Executive Officer Ed Lopes.

“Liberty Bay is on a path of dynamic growth that aligns with our strategic plan initiatives, while remaining grounded in our roots by strengthening our core values of community involvement and financial literacy,” said Dennis.

Dennis is a graduate of Boston University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism. He has also attended the CUES CEO Institute, focusing on Strategic Leadership Development at The Wharton School. Dennis is the author of two sales books, including “The Golden 120 Seconds of Every Sales Call,” and is guest lecturer at Babson College.

Dennis has two grown daughters and resides in Franklin with his wife Mary.
