MILFORD, MA — Two local Girl Scout and Brownie troops recently donated cookies to send to military members serving overseas via the Milford nonprofit Thanks To Yanks.

The cookies were donated to Thanks to Yanks by Troop 64720 and Troop 65017, and the treats will go to the Massachusetts National Guard 182nd battalion deployed in the Middle East.

"A package from home is always welcome to remind those who serve that they are not forgotten," Thanks To Yanks founder Mike Shain said.
