Gunman Attempted to Rob ATM

A masked gunman attempted to rob a couple at the drive-up ATM at Middlesex Savings Bank on South Main Street on Wednesday at 7:24 p.m.

Police reported the robbery attempt on their Twitter and Facebook accounts.

The suspect is a male, about 5’8” tall with a medium to large build. He wore a ski mask, red bandana, black fleece jacket and brandished a black firearm that appeared to be a 9mm semi automatic pistol.

The couple was ordered to “take the money out” but the gunman fled as the customer was having difficulty making the withdrawal.

Two similar crimes occurred in Woonsocket R.I. The Milford Police Department are working with the Woonsocket Police Department to solve this crime.
