ICYMI: Applebee's, Alamo, Cantino Goyano: Milford's Health Inspections
Dirty food slicer and microwave, food stored at high temps, no soap or towels. Here are the latest health inspections conducted in Milford.

MILFORD, MA—The following inspections were submitted by the Milford Board of Health:
- Asia Café 94 Main St. 8-23-16 Violations here include the following. Rear screen door to the kitchen in a mess and needs to be repaired (do not leave door open until screen door repaired), cover food barrels label them and put an actual light in this area not a night light type of light. Critical violation involved the walk in cooler not at proper temperature form approx 11:00 am to 2:00 pm and not scheduled to be repaired until at least 5:00. All potentially hazardous foods were disposed of in outside container and same container was emptied the next morning. Several foods in this walk read 58 degrees and higher, time/temp violation with well over 4 hours at this unsafe temp. Re-inspected the next day 8-24-16 and found walk in cooler back online and holding safe cold temp. Other violation included the need to scrub and clean 2 burner stove top and knives are to be cleaned and sanitized before storage on magnetic strip. Re-inspection scheduled for these violations. Re-inspected on 8-31-16 and found remaining violations corrected. Back door (solid door closed now).
- Alamo 55 Medway Rd. 8-22-16 Violations here include the following. Boxes of taco shells in the basement need to be stored in a safer manner, cook/chef needs to wear gloves or used utensils to create a barrio between his hands and ready to eat foods and also wear hair restrains (hats which are provided, and clean and sanitize entire manual can opener.
- Applebee’s 91 Medway Rd. 8-24-16 Violations here include two foods not covered in the dry goods storage room, flies in this restaurant (re-inspection scheduled for this), multiple foods not covered in Traulsen units (freezer and cooler), clean and sanitize three bay sink area including backsplash area. Re-inspections conducted next day all violations corrected and no flies.
- Quality Inn 3 Fortune Blvd. 8-25-16 No violations here.
- Trinity Episcopal Church 17 Congress St. 8-25-16 No violation here.
- Edible Arrangements 196 E. Main St. 8-30-16 Food debris found on knife blade that was stored on magnetic knife strip.
- The Exotic Foods 53 Sumner St. 8-30-16 No violations here.
- Cantino Goyano 163 Main St. 8-29-16 Violations here include the following. No paper towel for the dispenser for the hand sink in the first prep room, also clean and disinfect this same sink, clean and sanitize entire manual can opener, bag of pasta torn open must be closed, two boxes of pasta to be closed tightly in storage, close and seal to bags of food product in this same pre room (salt and beans), repair light switch for the walk in cooler, no soap or paper towel for the dish room hand sink, clean and scrub 12 burner stove top. Re-inspection scheduled.
- Central Tavern 31 Central St. 8-31-16 One violation here. Need to cover foods in the cooler and freezer.
- Gene’s Variety 80 Water St. 8-31-16 Violations here include the following. Clean the exterior of the pizza prep cooler, clean floor area in front of the main line area where its scuffed up, clean the exteriors of all three deli display cases glass surfaces door guide solid surfaces, clean interiors of both microwave ovens, clean shelving area under both food slicers, and clean and sanitize 2 bay prep sink. Re-inspection scheduled.
- Bills Pizza 126 Main St. 8-25-16 Violations here include the following. A chest freezer in the back needs a visible thermometer, stand alone freezer also needs a thermometer, and clean steel food racks in the walk in cooler.
- Coimbras 55 Water St. 8-25-16 Violations include the following. Clean interior of Whirlpool freezer, clean and sanitize manual can opener, and utensils stored in steel container are to be cleaned and sanitized before storage stored handle facing the user and in a clean sanitized stainless steel container.
- Chim Thai 196 Main St. 8-31-16 One violation here spring rolls are to be covered in the 2 door freezer.
